RD's Rural Data Gateway publishes 12+ years of program data across 70+ programs through 20+ dashboards, and RD operates a USDA-wide Tableau catalog ($5M / 3-year contract), but financial-management dashboards across OBP, NFAOC, and program offices remain fragmented — leading to inconsistent leadership decision-support data.

Modern federal financial management runs on real-time dashboards, and OBP leadership and OMB exam staff increasingly expect single-pane-of-glass access to program performance, subsidy execution, and obligation status.
HSG's Approach
- 1Inventory all current OBP / NFAOC / program-office dashboards and consolidate into a coherent dashboard architecture aligned to Rural Data Gateway and USDA Tableau catalog.
- 2Build a 'CFO Dashboard' — a single-page real-time view of OBP's most material metrics (apportionment status, ULO certification status, re-estimate cycle status, anomaly queue, monthly-close status, FTE / Burn Rate vs. plan).
- 3Auto-populate dashboards from FMMI, BICS, Essbase, NFC, and program subledgers using Power Automate / Alteryx / Python ETL.
- 4Tag every metric with USSGL / TAS / cohort lineage for drill-through to source data.
- 5Document data definitions and refresh cadence for OBPA, OMB, and audit consumption.
